Your Ideal Career

Finding your ideal career is hard. Most of us don't have any idea what we want to do after high school. It may take trial and error until you finally settle down with a job you like. It was the same for me. I worked in all different fields until I found myself taking on the role of Career Coach. Until an Astrologer told me I would be an Astrologer.

Astrology is more than what you read in your magazine Horoscope. It's a system that can be used as a tool for self reflection and critical thinking. You may have heard of Myers Briggs and other personality assessments. These are all based on astrology. Pretty cool right!?

So why not use astrology to have a deeper look at yourself to find your ideal career. All you need to pull your astrology chart is your date of birth, time of birth, and location of birth. Now that you have your chart. You can start to decode the pieces by doing Google searches, listening to my career playlist on my YouTube Channel or reach out to a Professional Astrologer, like me.

The first step is to identify your big 3 is in your chart. You might already know your sun sign based on the month you were born. The sun speaks about your identity and ego. You also have a moon and a rising sign. The Moon speaks about your emotions and what you need to feel safe and secure. The Rising sign represents how others perceive you. Rising sign being the most important.

You will learn a lot about your personality, natural skills, strengths, and even some hidden talents. Knowing this information allows you to utilize your strengths. The moment you know what your good at and you use it. It takes you a step closer to your ideal career.

The Midheaven also known as the MC is a part of your chart that shows your career reputation. Once you identify the sign and ruling planet of that sign. This can put you on the track to the highest expression in your career. For example, if your MC is in Gemini You might be an exceptional communicator and networker. An ideal career could be customer service or sales. Mercury can be writing, teaching, or transportation. This could mean you have to travel for work or these could represent the field you work in. If you want to take it a step further. You can look to see what sign your mercury is in which would tell you what kind of communicator you are.

Blend those all together with mapping techniques and planning. And you got yourself a personal blueprint for your career path! As you grow and move towards your ideal career. You can expect changes shifts and things that will need revisiting. But the difference is that you can always come back to your chart and take a deeper look.

Mars Retrograde

Mars will enter Aries June 27th to January 7th of 2021. Mars rules initiation, action, competition, ambition, metal, machinery, sexual relationships, anger, inspiration, motivation, and assertiveness in an aggressive war like way. Mars can create or destroy depending on how its energy is used.

Wherever Mars is transit in your personal chart, you will have extra Energy in that area, and boundless energy to apply towards that area of experience. This will make you feel alive. Opportunities and support will come to the areas that Mars is gracing.

Mars will go retrograde Sept 7th to November 14th. Every 2 years Mars goes retrograde. This brings an internal influence to the areas ruled by Mars. Everything listed above tends to move slower. That can look like; disorganization, loss of interest and drive, decrease in ambitions, lack of cooperation from others and circumstances.

When energy, signs, events, and circumstances, are clearly stalling out or going in reverse this causes frustration because Mars is the sign of forward movement. However, retrogrades are meant to help us grow out of outdated patterns that no longer serve us. The best way to deal with this energy is to let go of old thought patterns of doing things. Especially when lack of support or ambition is clear.

Mars rules the sign of Aries and co-rules Scorpio. Frustrations can run higher for everyone during Mars retrograde, especially Aries and Scorpio. Since the drive of Aries and Scorpio tends to be excessive. Retrogrades can take the edge off.

Retrogrades can tend to reveal unfinished business in the areas of life your natal Mars lives in your chart. Mars can also dig up things to be resolved in the areas ruled by Aries, Scorpio, the sign Mars is moving through, and the house it is moving through.

Anger is a huge issue with Mars and it could intensify during the retrograde but often it will manifest as a slowing of energy. In some ways this is actually better because Mars retrograde is NOT the time to pick a fight or wage a war. Aggressive action taken on any front will likely fade in its outcome. Sometimes frustration can be so high that one feels like there is no other option than to attack but this will usually prove to be a huge mistake. This is why legal action or any other attack is not recommended during this time.

Mediation, compromise, forgiveness, anger management, running, or punching bags are the most supported approaches during a Mars retrograde cycle. One caution here is that the chances for physical injury is increased during this time. Working to really heal is the best option.

Those who have Mars retrograde in their birth chart, sometimes experience the opposite of what everyone else does with this transit. For these people who may be unambitious by nature, they may rev up at this time. If they have a key note of frustration in their lives, they may find relief or solutions.

Mars also rules surgery. It is recommended to avoid surgeries. If a surgery is necessary and time-sensitive/a life/death situation, then do it, but if you can do it before or after, then try for that. Scissors are also ruled by Mars avoid using scissors (or any other metal device) avoid a new hairdresser if possible. It is better to go with one you are already established with.

Since Mars rules sexual energy, it is recommended to avoid starting new sexual relationships or going to "the next level" of the relationship, whatever that means in your specific circumstance. Sexual encounters initiated during the Mars retrograde transit often comes with unwelcome outcomes, including but not limited to the fading out of the romance, often leaving all involved wishing it never happened. Adding a sexual element to a platonic relationship, moving in together, engagement, marriage, or any commitment of any kind between romantic partners is not supported at this time.

Since Mars rules initiating and launching, it is strongly suggested to avoid launches at this time. If you have to do something involving initiating at this time it may not have longevity.

Eclipse in Sagittarius

Each eclipse cycle is 2 years long and every 6 months there are transits that reactivate the eclipse energy. Eclipses happen in two opposing signs allowing to pull from one energy to give to the other. One example of this is a parent passing away and a child being born. You can begin to feel the Eclipses for up to 4 to 5 weeks before and after the transit. Things can feel destined at this time, which can cause anxiety as often things happen outside of your control. There can be dramatic and brilliant occurrences. So things will be eclipsed in and things being eclipsed out of your life at this time. 

This eclipse is happening in Sagittarius on June 5th, 2020. Sagittarius rules teaching and learning. Teachers can see some dramatic changes at this time. Getting educated, educational resources and programs, schooling of any kind, your learning journey can be ending, beginning, or continuing. New teachers can come on the scene, writing, publishing, and speakers. New projects around launching a new book, continuing a publishing project, and a speaking opportunities can come up at this time. 

International travel, dealing with people who are in different countries, or international work can come up at this time. Your beliefs can change drastically, separation from religion or spiritual practices. The way you look at the world can change, a new philosophy can appear, or going back to an old belief can come back. You can see new changes in the church. Blogging, learning a different language or dating someone from a different culture can come up at this time.
